What is the MCAT?

The MCAT stands for the Medical College Admissions Test. This is a test that you are required to take to become a doctor. This admissions test is required by most medical schools in both Canada and the United States. This test is computer-based and is taken at a test center.

This test is created and administrated by the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges). The AAMC is also in charge of organizing the different test centers. The MCAT was designed to determine which applicants had the highest chance of succeeding in medical school and their future medical careers.

The MCAT is a unique test because its goal is to not only determine what students know but also how well they can use what they know to solve problems.
